Application of Industrial Building Dehumidification and Cooling Air-conditioning System Driven by Low-grade Heat

open access: yesZhileng xuebao, 2022
The low-grade waste heat resources of industrial buildings are abundant but difficult to utilize, especially when the waste heat is below 80 ℃. The effective recovery and utilization of such waste heat are of great importance for energy conservation and ...

Chemical dehumidification by liquid desiccants: theory and experiment

open access: yesInternational Journal of Refrigeration, 1999
Chemical dehumidification of air by a liquid desiccant in a packed tower has been investigated both theoretically and experimentally for air conditioning and industrial applications. A computer model of a packed tower, able to determine heat and mass transfer between air and desiccant, has been developed and a parametrical study was carried out ...

Developments in liquid desiccant dehumidification system integrated with evaporative cooling technology

open access: yesInternational Journal of Energy Research, 2021
The vapor compression air conditioning (VCAC) is the most widely used method for space cooling. However, it has some disadvantages, such as the fact that it consumes more electricity, depletes the ozone layer, and contributes to global warming.

Parametric Analysis of a Universal Isotherm Model to Tailor Characteristics of Solid Desiccants for Dehumidification

open access: yesFrontiers in Energy Research, 2022
Cooling has a significant share in energy consumption, especially in hot tropical regions. The conventional mechanical vapor compression (MVC) cycle, widely used for air-conditioning needs, has high energy consumption as air is cooled down to a dew point
