Orbital Geometry‐Governed Response of Pressure‐Tunable Quantum Defects in hBN
Defects in hBN act as ultrasensitive quantum manometers when the energy of the intradefect optical transitions is modified by lattice compression. The orbital geometry of the electron wave functions governs how electron hopping and Coulomb interactions react uniquely to the reduction of the van der Waals gap and in‐plane compression, leading to robust ...

Experimental Study on the Cooling Rate of a New Type of Oocyte Carriers
Cooling rate is the key factor that determines the cryopreserving effect of cells, which has much to do with the forms and the usages of freezing carrier.

Significant nanoscale oxygen diffusion coefficient variations are measured in ferroelectric hafnium zirconium oxide films with grain boundaries and electrode interfaces exhibiting values 104 times larger than the grain cores. Overall coefficients are 10X larger for films prepared with metal nitride electrodes compared to refractory metals. New insights

Computer simulations of liquid crystals [PDF]
Molecular simulations performed on modern computers provide a powerful tool for the investigation of both static and dynamic properties of liquid crystals. In this thesis several properties of liquid crystal mesogens have been investigated using state-of-

Exciton Binding Energy of Phosphorescent Emitter Molecules in Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes
Energy level alignment is key to efficient OLED design, yet determining LUMO energies remains challenging. A methodology based on field‐induced dissociation and kinetic Monte Carlo simulations is presented to extract LUMO energies of iridium‐based phosphorescent emitters from their exciton binding energy.

Liquid Nitrogen for Your Farm?
Right on the heels of the rapid acceptance and use of fertilizers in general- and of straight nitrogen fertilizers in particular- has come the development of liquid sources of nitrogen containing from 21 to 82 percent nitrogen.

Review of Liquid Nitrogen Quick-freezing Technology in Food
Liquid nitrogen quick-freezing technology enables food to pass quickly through the ice crystal area, and results in total or partial vitrification, which improves the quality of food and has been widely used in the food cold chain.

This work introduces a swelling‐induced, stress‐assisted water‐soluble PVA tape strategy to transfer‐print nanodiamond quantum‐sensor arrays onto soft, curved biological interfaces. The room‐temperature, water‐triggered process achieves >98% fidelity and residue‐free integration, enabling conformal quantum sensing on contact lenses, neural probes, and ...
