The use of Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHC) is one of the potential options to store hydrogen. Today, the vast majority of compounds used as LOHC come from the oil industry. Using biosourced LOHC would be a step forward in the development of this CO2-free solution. This article looks at LOHC candidates that can be obtained from biomass.
