Ionic liquid/ionic liquid dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction

Journal of Separation Science, 2011
AbstractIn this article, a novel and simple microextraction method, termed ionic liquid/ionic liquid dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction (IL/IL‐DLLME), has been designed and developed for the rapid enrichment and analysis of environmental pollutants.

Liquid-Liquid Displacement in Porous Media as Affected by the Liquid-Liquid Viscosity Ratio and Liquid-Liquid Miscibility

Journal of Petroleum Technology, 1950
Summary The results of two sets of displacement experiments are reported. In the firstset of experiments various solutions of sugar in water were displaced by othersolutions of sugar in water. In the second set oils were displaced by water. Each set of experiments was performed on a linear system made of ...

The liquid–liquid interface of simple liquids

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1995
Molecular-dynamics simulations of liquid–liquid interface at low temperatures between two simple liquids reveal that the interface is a sheet of vacuum between liquid slabs. Density profiles, order parameters, the pressure dependence of the gap, and the dynamics of liquid slabs, are reported.

Liquid-Liquid Immiscibility in Membranes

Annual Review of Biophysics and Biomolecular Structure, 2003
The observation of liquid-liquid immiscibility in cholesterol-phospholipid mixtures in monolayers and bilayers has opened a broad field of research into their physical chemistry. Some mixtures exhibit multiple immiscibilities. This unusual property has led to a thermodynamic model of "condensed complexes." These complexes are the consequence of an ...
