LIRS

Proceedings of the 2002 ACM SIGMETRICS international conference on Measurement and modeling of computer systems - SIGMETRICS '02, 2002
Although LRU replacement policy has been commonly used in the buffer cache management, it is well known for its inability to cope with access patterns with weak locality. Previous work, such as LRU-K and 2Q, attempts to enhance LRU capacity by making use of additional history information of previous block references other than only the ...

LETI/LIR's uncooled microbolometer development

SPIE Proceedings, 1998
Today, a large number of uncooled infrared detector developments are under progress due to the availability of silicon technology that enables realization of low cost 2D IR arrays. LETI/LIR, which has been involved in this field for a few years, has chosen resistive amorphous silicon as thermometer for its uncooled microbolometer development.

The LIR motif – crucial for selective autophagy

Journal of Cell Science, 2013
Summary (Macro)autophagy is a fundamental degradation process for macromolecules and organelles of vital importance for cell and tissue homeostasis. Autophagy research has gained a strong momentum in recent years because of its relevance to cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, muscular dystrophy, lipid storage disorders, development ...

LIRS-WSR: Integration of LIRS and Writes Sequence Reordering for Flash Memory

2007
Most of the mobile devices are equipped with NAND flash memories even if it has characteristics of not-in-place update and asymmetric I/O latencies among read, write, and erase operations: a write/erase operation is much slower than a read operation in a flash memory.

Recent improvements of IRFPAs at LIR

SPIE Proceedings, 1992
This paper presents two types of recent focal plane arrays manufactured in Laboratoire Infrarouge (LIR) of CEA-LETI: (1) long linear arrays in the 12 micron wavelength range operating at 50 K consisting of several submodules butted together, and (2) 128 X 128 two dimensional arrays operating at 200 K with a 4.2 micron cutoff wavelength.

An Application of the Linear Isotherm Regularity (LIR)

The Journal of Physical Chemistry B, 2007
The linear isotherm regularity (LIR) for dense fluids is used to derive another regularity which is the isotherm [(partial differentialE/partial differentialv)T/rhoRT]v2 as a linear function of rho2, where E is the molar internal energy, (partial differentialE/partial differentialv)T is the internal pressure, and rho is the molar density (inverse of ...
