Indeterminacy Problems in the Lisrel Model

Multivariate Behavioral Research, 1989
The latent variables and errors of the Lisrel model are indeterminate even when the parameters of the model are perfectly identified. The reason for the indeterminacy is that the Lisrel model gives a solution in terms of estimation of latent variables by means of observed variables.

LISREL Models and Methods

1992
In this Chapter we develop the LISREL model formally, and assume some knowledge of elementary statistics. While understanding the model will prove useful in the long run, it is not strictly prerequisite for the LISREL applications in this book. It provides a valuable reference section and guide to the statistical theory behind applied model-fitting ...

The LISREL model

1984
The model to be described in this chapter involves a combination of the concept of latent variables, with the techniques of path analysis and simultaneous equation models, and represents the convergence of relatively independent research traditions in psychometrics, econometrics and biometrics.

Fitting genetic models with LISREL: Hypothesis testing

Behavior Genetics, 1989
A brief introduction to the mathematical theory involved in model fitting is provided. The properties of maximum-likelihood estimates are described, and their advantages in fitting structural models are given. Identification of models is considered. Standard errors of parameter estimates are compared with the use of likelihood-ratio (L-R) statistics ...

Principal component analysis using LISREL 8

Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal, 1996
The object of this article is to demonstrate that the widely disseminated program LISREL 8 can be used to carry out principal component analyses. LISREL 8 offers a number of useful possibilities including multigroup principal component analysis and principal component regression. Several illustrative analyses are reported.

Spatio-Temporal Lisrel Models

1986
In chapter 1 the advantages of the use of spatio-temporal data for impact analysis of economic policy have been pointed out. The analysis of spatio-temporal data, however, poses specific problems which will be described in this chapter. These problems stem from the fact that spatiotemporal data constists of a time series of cross-sectional observations

Using the LISREL Program

1989
The purpose of this chapter is to introduce you to the general format of the LISREL program. Expanded comments regarding various aspects of the input and output will be addressed in subsequent chapters that focus on specific CFA model applications.

Software Reviews : Lisrel/Prelis

Social Science Computer Review, 1992
LISREL/PRELIS has become the statistical package of choice for many social science graduate students and researchers who wish to develop multivariate linear models that handle measurement error and latent variables in a more sophisticated way than do traditional regression models.

Learning art with computers - a LISREL model

Journal of Computer Assisted Learning, 2001
Abstract This paper surveys the attitudes on the use of computers for aesthetic communication. In spite of the proliferation of computer art software and the popularity of art galleries on the world‐wide web, many artists still find it difficult to accept computer art as a form of art. Many of them find only commercial values in computer art.

Der LISREL-Ansatz der Kausalanalyse

1990
