An Anisotropic Gold‐Palladium Heterostructured Nanosystem for Synergistically Overcoming Radioresistance and Enhancing Melanoma Radioimmunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A multifunctional anisotropic Au‐Pd heterostructured nanosystem is developed that incorporates a plasmonically enhanced Au‐Pd core, with a shell composed of a biodegradable, Mn‐doped targeting peptide. The nanosystem integrates photothermal, radiotherapeutic, and immunomodulatory functions.

Paulina Crusat: una voz silenciada

open access: yesLectora: Revista de Dones i Textualitat, 2010
The main purpose of this article is to rescue from oblivion the name of Paulina Crusat (Barcelona 1990-Sevilla 1981), translator, literary critic, and author of four excellent novels, who, unfairly, has not received much critical attention, and has been ...

Single‐Cell RNA Sequencing Delineates Renal Anti‐Fibrotic Mechanisms Mediated by TRPC6 Inhibition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell transcriptomics reveals how TRPC6 inhibition alters renal cell composition and gene expression in CKD. The study uncovers a novel endothelial subpopulation (ECRIN), highlights key inflammatory and fibrotic pathways, and identifies a Prnp‐driven network linked to fibrosis resolution, offering mechanistic insight into TRPC6 as a potential ...

Gamma‐Glutamyl Cysteine Ligase Activity as a Proxy for Human T Cell Function and Drug‐Induced Immunosuppression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
GLed, a reversible lanthanide‐based GSH sensor that enables real‐time, single‐cell measurement of Gamma–Glutamyl Cysteine Ligase (GCL) activity ‐whose role in human T cells remains unclear‐ is developed. GLed directly links GCL activity to T cell effector functions and reveals its modulation by immunosuppressive drugs, identifying GCL as a critical ...

Oxygen Vacancy Formation at Metal‒TiO₂ Interface Yielding Enhanced Photocatalytic Hydrogen Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, the oxygen vacancy formation is reported at the Au‐TiO2 interface in strong metal‐support interaction (SMSI) photocatalyst. The oxygen vacancies faciliate electron transfer and favor the adsorption of water and methanol at photocatalyst surface, thus enhancing the kinetic of photocatalytic hydrogen generation. The SMSI concept is extended

Identification of Schwann Cells in Human Intracranial Arteries: Potential Regulatory Role in Atherosclerotic Plaque Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Schwann cells may facilitate intracranial plaque progression via neurovascular remodelingcting with vascular smooth muscle cells in atherosclerotic plaques, with the SPP1 ‐ ITGB1 signaling axis mediating this interaction as a novel mechanism. Abstract Intracranial atherosclerosis (ICAS), a common cause of ischemic stroke, remains a therapeutic ...

HPD is an RNA‐Binding Protein Sustaining Ovarian Cancer Cell Glycolysis, Tumor Growth, and Drug Resistance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HPD is identified as an RNA‐binding protein that promotes mRNA translation by binding to RRACH motifs via its double‐stranded RNA‐binding domains. This RNA‐binding activity critically sustains glycolysis in ovarian cancer cells. Disrupting HPD's RNA‐binding function effectively suppresses tumor growth and enhances therapeutic sensitivity, highlighting ...
