Electrochemomechanics in Doped Garnet Lithium-Ion Conductors
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2018Solid electrolytes based on Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO) garnet may enable lithium-metal electrodes. The negatively charged crystal sublattices form channels that facilitate cation transport and produce room-temperature ionic conductivity of 0.4 mS/cm [1].

Abstract An excellent ionic conductor LiAlO2 was deposited on the surface of LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2 by coating Al(NO3)3·9H2O on Ni0.8Mn0.1Co0.1(OH)2 precursors, followed by calcined with LiOH·H2O at 800 °C. The effects of LiAlO2 layer on the physical and electrochemical properties of LiNi0.8Mn0.1Co0.1O2 cathode material had been discussed by ...

Abstract The LiNi0.8Co0.1Mn0.1O2 was coated by a lithium-ion conductor Li3PO4 layer using a simple and efficient coating method. The Ni0.8Co0.1Mn0.1(OH)2 precursor serves as a coating target, and Li3PO4 was deposited on its surface. This method avoids forming lithium residuals and twice calcination process.

Solid lithium ion conductors for battery applications
Journal of Power Sources, 1985Abstract The phase equilibria and conductivities of the LiFLiH, LiFLiOH, LiFLi2O, Li2SLi2O, Li2 SLiCl and Li2SLiBr systems were investigated. All ternary single phases and two-phase mixtures are solid electrolytes which are thermodynamically stable in respect of reaction with elemental lithium (anode) and at practically useful, low lithium ...
