The fundamental intricate couplings between electrolyte wetting and fracture evolution are investigated in large single‐crystal V2O5 samples using both experimental techniques and simulations. Both approaches reveal consistent fracture patterns and lithium distribution concentration maps influenced by the wetting mechanism.

Evaluation of tantalum-alloy-clad uranium mononitride fuel specimens from 7500-hour, 1040 C pumped-lithium-loop test [PDF]
Simulated nuclear fuel element specimens, consisting of uranium mononitride (UN) fuel cylinders clad with tungsten-lined T-111, were exposed for up to 7500 hr at 1040 C (1900 F) in a pumped-lithium loop. The lithium flow velocity was 1.5 m/sec (5 ft/sec)

Local Thermal Conductivity Patterning in Rotating Lattice Crystals of Anisotropic Sb2S3
Microscale control of thermal conductivity in Sb2S3 is demonstrated via laser‐induced rotating lattice crystals. Thermal conductivity imaging reveals marked thermal transport anisotropy, with the c axis featuring amorphous‐like transport, whereas in‐plane directions (a, b) exhibit 3.5x and 1.7x larger thermal conductivity.
