A wide variety of Li-N compounds are predicted as stable under pressure and associated with various nitrogen anionic moieties. Accordingly, the LiN5 compound was recently synthesized at 45 GPa by the direct reaction of nitrogen and lithium. In this study,

Compound Formation in the Systems Lithium‐Carbon and Lithium‐Boron
Journal of the American Ceramic Society, 1967The phases present in the 2 to 50 at.% lithium region for the system lithium‐carbon below 700° C are carbon and stoichiometric Li 2 C 2 . The unit cell of Li 2 C 2 was ...

Lithium Compound Treatment and Psoriasis
Archives of Dermatology, 1979Observations were made of 12 cases of psoriasis that developed and three cases of psoriasis that became exacerbated during treatment with lithium compounds. Only two patients had a family history of psoriasis, and results of a search for increased frequencies of the histocompatibility antigens seen in psoriasis vulgaris were negative.

Charge and valence in lithium compounds
Chemical Physics Letters, 1992Abstract Ab initio calculations on hydrides and small lithium compounds with 4–31G, 6–31G* and 6–31G** basis sets are analyzed with respect to atomic net charges and covalent bonding. A weighted and contracted orthogonalization scheme and a multipole analysis are used.

Lithium Binaphtholate-Catalyzed Asymmetric Addition of Lithium Acetylides to Carbonyl Compounds
The Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2014The asymmetric addition of lithium acetylides to carbonyl compounds in the presence of a chiral lithium binaphtholate catalyst was developed. A procedure involving the slow addition of carbonyl compounds to lithium acetylides improved the enantioselectivity.

ASR suppression by lithium compounds
Cement and Concrete Research, 1997Abstract Concrete prism tests have been carried out to test the effectiveness of lithium compounds in reducing the expansion of concrete due to alkali silica reaction. Calcined flint cristobalite was used as the reactive aggregate in concrete mixes with material proportions close to those of field concretes.

Functionalised organolithium compounds by sulfur–lithium exchange
Chemical Society Reviews, 2008Multifunctional organic molecules can be accessed by reacting functionalised organolithium compounds (they can be prepared following a great number of different methodologies) with electrophilic reagents, this fact makes these intermediates of relevant interest in synthetic organic chemistry.

Syntheses with pyrimidine-lithium compounds
Tetrahedron Letters, 1959Abstract The principles of the preparation, reactivity and use of organolithium compounds is briefly discussed in relation to recent work with N-heterocyclic derivatives. The synthesis of thymine-C14H3 and 5-ethyluracil from a pyrimidine-lithium intermediate, and the separation of uracil and thymine by ion-exchange chromatography, are described.

Ionic conductivity in lithium compounds
Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1971The electrical and structural properties of lithium compounds which present predominantly ionic conductivity are reviewed and relationships between structure and electrical properties are, where possible, discussed. A few results on lithium silico-aluminate glasses are also reported.
