Detection and quantification of ionophore antibiotics in runoff, soil and poultry litter
Journal of Chromatography A, 2013Ionophore antibiotics (IPAs) are widely used as coccidiostats in poultry and other livestock industries to promote growth and prevent infections. Because most of the ingested IPAs are excreted in poultry litter, which is primarily applied as grassland fertilizer, a significant amount of IPAs can be released into the litter-soil-water environment.

[Detection of major gene on litter size in sheep].
Yi chuan = Hereditas, 2006The current study was designed to detect SNPs within BMP15 and BMPR-IB gene and investigate the effect of the genes on sheep litter size. Four sheep lines, HU-Yang, Chinese Merino monotocous, Chinese Merino multiparous for wool production and Chinese Merino multiparous for mutton production, were used in this study.

Vision-Language Models for Floating Litter Detection
Deep learning-based computer vision methods are widely used to detect and quantify floating macroplastic litter in rivers, enabling accurate assessments of plastic pollution by automatically processing images and videos. However, these methods typically rely on large amounts of annotated data for supervised learning (SL), and the manual labeling work ...Chuyue Zhang +5 more

Dose and litter allocations in the design of teratological studies for detecting hormesis
Teratology, 2002AbstractBackgroundHormesis is being recognized in the field of toxicology due to the stimulating effects of some toxic compounds at low exposure levels. Therefore, it is desirable that experimental designs for toxicological studies be flexible enough to aid in the detection of hormetic effects. Current designs may still not have enough power to do this.

Real-Time Floating Marine Litter Detection on USV
2024 IEEE International Workshop on Metrology for the Sea; Learning to Measure Sea Health Parameters (MetroSea)Marine litter is harmful to coastal and ocean environments for many reasons. Many devices have been developed in the last few years to recover as much litter as possible in ports and coastal areas. However, they usually employ a brute-force approach, leading to high energy and resource consumption.
