Recurrence of Primary Biliary Cirrhosis after Liver Transplantation

Liver transplantation is now the accepted treatment for patients with end-stage disease or intractable symptoms. The success rate is high. Those grafted for PBC are at greater risk of developing acute and chronic rejection and are less likely to be weaned from immunosuppression.
