Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Living donor kidney transplant rates vary across the world and this heterogeneity arises from the different socio-cultural environments and legislative rules in place to encourage the practice. In countries with an established deceased donor infrastructure, living kidney donor programs have complemented the national kidney allocations systems but ...

Donor nephrectomy was performed on 39 living related renal donors. The preoperative evaluation, surgical technique, and postoperative follow-up are presented. Major or minor complications developed in 23 per cent of the patients and included acute myocardial infarction, brachial plexus injury, acute glomerulonephritis, ileus, pneumonia, and urinary ...

The need for more organs for kidney transplantation is increasing. Cadaver sources for these organs are stable, therefore living donation must increase if the need is to be met. Less perfect kidneys are now being transplanted. The pool of potential donors is being expanded.

AbstractSix decades after its first implementation, kidney transplantation remains the optimal therapy for end‐stage renal disease requiring dialysis. Despite the incontrovertible mortality reduction and cost‐effectiveness of kidney transplantation, the greatest remaining barrier to treatment of end‐stage renal disease is organ availability.

Abstract This chapter provides an historical perspective of living donor nephrectomy from the early days to current applications. The selection criteria for living donors, the various types of surgical approaches available, with particular reference to the laparoscopic technique, and the immediate and long-term results of these procedures, are ...

Organ transplantation from deceased donors is still far below the need. Because of this deficiency, liver transplantations are performed mostly from live donors in many transplant centers in our country. Living-donor liver transplantation (LDLT) has evolved dramatically over the past decade.
