Synthesis of polyisobutylene-polycaprolactone block copolymers using enzyme catalysis
The synthesis of poly(isobutylene-b-ε-caprolactone) diblock and poly(ε-caprolactone-b-isobutylene-b-ε-caprolactone) triblock copolymers was accomplished using a combination of living carbocationic polymerization of isobutylene (IB) with the ring-opening ...

Polymerization-Induced Self-Assembly of Conjugated Block Copoly(phenylacetylene)s
Polymerization-induced self-assembly (PISA) was developed to prepare assemblies of conjugated block copoly(phenylacetylene)s for the first time. The living dispersion polymerization of (R/S)-4-(1-phenethylbamoyl)phenylacetylene (rmAN/smAN) can be ...

Near-Infrared Photobiomodulation of Living Cells, Tubulin, and Microtubules In Vitro
We report the results of experimental investigations involving photobiomodulation (PBM) of living cells, tubulin, and microtubules in buffer solutions exposed to near-infrared (NIR) light emitted from an 810 nm LED with a power density of 25 mW/cm2 ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Pre‐dilution online hemodiafiltration (Pre‐HDF) is predominantly used in Japan, whereas post‐dilution online HDF (Post‐HDF) is more common in Europe. An asymmetric cellulose triacetate (ATA) membrane may improve biocompatibility.

High-Speed Living Polymerization of Polar Vinyl Monomers by Self-Healing Silylium Catalysts
This contribution describes the development and demonstration of the ambient‐temperature, high‐speed living polymerization of polar vinyl monomers (M) with a low silylium catalyst loading (≤ 0.05 mol % relative to M). The catalyst is generated in situ by

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
