Thiosulphate: An alternative lixiviant for gold ore
Mineral Processing on the Verge of the 21st Century, 2017Dissolution of precious metals from Ovacik gold ore py ammoniacal thiosulphate has been investigated. The effect of parameters such as solid / water ratio, S2O32-, Cu2+, NH3, SO32- concentrations and leaching time have been experimentally determined. In optimum leach conditions 82 % Au and 83 % Ag recoveries have been obtained.
