Lixiviation kinetics of cobalt from cemented carbides

International Journal of Refractory Metals and Hard Materials, 2018
Abstract This report aims to disclose interactions between semi-direct recycling concepts, corrosion analysis of hard metals and possible leaching mechanisms. Accordingly, an examination reveals chemical kinetic dependencies via leaching a cutting insert in formic acid inclusive an oxidant. Currently, contradictions and issues in literature slow down

A lixiviation-study of copper arsenides in acid medium

Journal of Inorganic and Nuclear Chemistry, 1974
Abstract The lixiviation behaviour of the different Cu-arsenides, submitted to the action of several oxidants (O2, H2O2, Fe3+, Ce4+) in acid medium and at different temperatures, is examined. A potential-pH diagram is constituted, from which it can be anticipated that the Cu3−xAs and Cu5−xAs2 phases thermodynamically must give rise to the formation ...

Chalcopyrite leaching in novel lixiviants

Hydrometallurgy, 2022
Abstract Chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) makes up a large and increasing fraction of the world's future copper resources, but is highly refractory to leaching with common lixiviants. Novel lixiviants, less common reagents recently proposed for chalcopyrite leaching and reviewed here, show varying chemical effectiveness and economic potential.

Thiosulphate: An alternative lixiviant for gold ore

Mineral Processing on the Verge of the 21st Century, 2017
Dissolution of precious metals from Ovacik gold ore py ammoniacal thiosulphate has been investigated. The effect of parameters such as solid / water ratio, S2O32-, Cu2+, NH3, SO32- concentrations and leaching time have been experimentally determined. In optimum leach conditions 82 % Au and 83 % Ag recoveries have been obtained.

Metal Lixiviation of Steel Foundry Dust

1991
Solid waste, steel foundry dust, comes from gas filtration units in the steel industry. Taking into account two main manufacturing processes leading to common steel and special steel, two different byproducts have been investigated: dust P1 from special steel manufacture and dust P2 from common steel manufacture.
