Food Safety and Health, EarlyView.Although fresh produce is extremely perishable and contaminated, it is essential for good health. To eliminate important foodborne pathogens, this paper investigates UV‐C irradiation as a safe, nonthermal technique. UV dose, exposure duration, and product characteristics all affect effectiveness.

Remote Sensing in Ecology and Conservation, EarlyView.Tree canopy height is a key indicator of forest biomass and structure, yet accurate mapping across the Amazon remains challenging. Here, we generated a canopy height map of the Amazon forest at ~4.8 m resolution using Planet NICFI imagery and a deep learning U‐Net model trained with airborne LiDAR data.

Record phenological responses to climate change in three sympatric penguin species
Journal of Animal Ecology, EarlyView.This paper is impressive because we managed to monitor extensively a really difficult place to reach and operate in. We deployed 77 cameras across Antarctica and the Sub Antarctic islands to monitor three different species of penguins. We found that they are the fastest advancing vertebrates with respect to their timing of breeding.
