Semi-classical Probe Strings on Giant Gravitons Backgrounds
In the first part of this paper we study two $Z_2$ symmetries of the LLM metric, both of which exchange black and white regions. One of them which can be interpreted as the particle-hole symmetry is the symmetry of the whole supergravity solution while ...

Unleashing the Power of Machine Learning in Nanomedicine Formulation Development
A random forest machine learning model is able to make predictions on nanoparticle attributes of different nanomedicines (i.e. lipid nanoparticles, liposomes, or PLGA nanoparticles) based on microfluidic formulation parameters. Machine learning models are based on a database of nanoparticle formulations, and models are able to generate unique solutions

Gravity from Entanglement and RG Flow in a Top-down Approach
The duality between a $d$-dimensional conformal field theory with relevant deformation and a gravity theory on an asymptotically AdS$_{d+1}$ geometry, has become a suitable tool in the investigation of the emergence of gravity from quantum entanglement ...

Fast 2D-DCT implementations for VLIW processors [PDF]
This paper analyzes various fast 2D-DCT algorithms regarding their suitability for VLIW processors. Operations for truncation or rounding which are usually neglected in proposals for fast algorithms have also been taken into consideration.

Engineering Strategies for Stable and Long‐Life Alkaline Zinc‐Based Flow Batteries
Alkaline zinc‐based flow batteries face persistent challenges from unstable zinc deposition, including dendrite growth, passivation, corrosion, and hydrogen evolution, which severely limit cycling stability. Current research addresses these issues through coordinated electrode structuring, electrolyte regulation, and membrane design to control zinc ...

LLM Unlearning with LLM Beliefs
Large language models trained on vast corpora inherently risk memorizing sensitive or harmful content, which may later resurface in their outputs. Prevailing unlearning methods generally rely on gradient ascent and its variants to lower the probability of specific target responses.

Various spin-polarization states beyond the maximum-density droplet: a quantum Monte Carlo study [PDF]
Using variational quantum Monte Carlo method, the effect of Landau-level mixing on the lowest-energy--state diagram of small quantum dots is studied in the magnetic field range where the density of magnetic flux quanta just exceeds the density of ...

Single‐ and Dual‐Atom Configurations in Atomically Dispersed Catalysts for Lithium–Sulfur Batteries
Single‐atom and dual‐atom‐based atomically dispersed catalysts (ADCs) effectively address the shuttle effect and sluggish redox kinetics in Li–S batteries. With nearly 100% atomic utilization and tunable coordination environments, ADCs enhance LiPSs adsorption, lower conversion barriers, and accelerate sulfur redox reactions.
