Parallel Computing of Load Flow Analysis

Proceedings of the Second International Conference on Information and Communication Technology for Competitive Strategies, 2016
This paper presents a simple and an efficient approach for load flow analysis of a radial distribution network by using parallel computation. By introducing CUDA (Computationally Unified Device Architecture), a platform is provided for performing the parallel implementation of the analysis. The analysis starts by determining the order of the nodes ...

Load Flow Analysis with Voltage-Sensitive Loads

2008 Joint International Conference on Power System Technology and IEEE Power India Conference, 2008
This paper conducts load-flow analysis of a five-bus test system containing voltage sensitive loads. Generalized equations that are suitable for the voltage sensitive loads and applicable to the Newton-Raphson method are developed. Three load flow studies are carried out. In the first study, all loads are assumed as constant power loads.

Load Flow Analysis

2002
The starting point of any analysis of power system will be the computation of complex voltages at all the busses. Load flow analysis is a computational tool for this purpose.

Stochastic load flow analysis

[1991 Proceedings] 6th Mediterranean Electrotechnical Conference, 2002
Ten years of work in the field of probabilistic load flow analysis are presented. A program package for the probabilistic load flow analysis is the final result of this work. The results obtained with the use of this package are very good. A comparison is made of the actual consumption of electrical energy with the forecast one, and it is found that ...

Load paths and load flow in finite element analysis

Engineering Computations, 2001
A procedure for plotting load paths and load flow in structures from a finite element analysis is described. The load flow is indicated by pointing vectors and the load paths are determined by plotting contours tangent to these vectors. The procedure is applied to assembled structures. An explanation is given for “eddies” that can appear in regions not

Bifurcation analysis of the load flow equations

1980 19th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the Symposium on Adaptive Processes, 1980
The bifurcation of the load flow equation of a power transmission network with PV buses and lossless lines is studied. This analysis has application in the development of numerical continuation methods.

Load Flow Analysis Using Second-Order Load Flow Methods and its Variations

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2015
The load flow or power flow computer program is the basic tool for investigating the steady-state conditions of power system. This paper introduces improved algorithms based on the basic Second-order Load Flow method for a wide range of electrical bus system sizes.

Faster Load Flow Analysis

2016
Over the past few decades, load flow algorithms for radial distribution networks have been an area of interest for researches, which has led to improvement in the approach and results for the problem. Different procedures and algorithms have been followed in lieu of performance enhancement in terms of simplicity of implementation, execution time, and ...
