Load management with mobile agents

Proceedings. 24th EUROMICRO Conference (Cat. No.98EX204), 2002
High-performance clusters are of increasing interest. In general, they consist of several heterogeneous workstations and/or PCs connected via a fast network. A large problem in this area is the efficient utilization of all available resources; hence, automated load management systems are applied.

Mobile load management system

2008 10th International Conference on Control, Automation, Robotics and Vision, 2008
This paper presents a development of mobile load monitoring and control system (MLMCS) in application to remote load management. MLMCS consists of client monitoring and control interface (CMCI) on mobile phone screen and wireless ARM-based automatic meter reading and control system (WAMRCS).

Load balancing location management

ICC 2001. IEEE International Conference on Communications. Conference Record (Cat. No.01CH37240), 2002
The efficient management of location information is an important issue in the design of future personal communication services (PCS) networks. Traditional architectures for location information databases have used a hierarchical tree structure with a single point of vulnerability, the root. In this paper, we consider a distributed database architecture

Load Management Applications for Industrial Loads

IEEE Power Engineering Review, 1985
In general, load management programs are designed and implemented for residential loads and customers. Industrial loads are not very often thought of as possible for load management applications. Since the power of the industry demand and equipment is more complex than in the residential sector, this fact may be understandable, but as the part of the ...

Load management on multiprocessor systems

1993
This paper concentrates on load management methods for multiprocessor systems with distributed memory. Most of the programs running on these machines do not create new processes during runtime and there is usually no sharing of nodes between multiple users. This causes load movement by process migration to be indispensable.

Stochastic Thermal Load Management

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2018
There has been much recent interest in distributed demand response—where loads adjust in response to shortfalls (or excesses) in power supply—in order to maintain power quality, reduce dispatch costs, and even prevent or ameliorate blackouts. Some of the most promising candidates for demand response are thermal loads, such as heaters, air conditioners,

Crop load management.

2008
Abstract This chapter covers peach tree physiology and the physiological importance of fruit thinning. Various methods that have been developed to thin peach trees and some of the factors affecting the efficacy of these practices are discussed. Specific topics covered are: fruit growth and development; quantification of crop load; modification ...

An introduction to load management

Electric Power Systems Research, 2013
Abstract Permanent availability of electricity is nowadays taken for granted, but grid reliability and sustainability is an everyday process of supply and demand balancing. In this document we provide a comprehensive study of the load management methods, techniques and programs theoretically described or practically used in developed and developing ...
