In this paper, the design of varactor-based tunable matching networks for dynamic load modulation of high power amplifiers (PAs) is presented. Design guidelines to overcome the common breakdown, and tunability problems of the varactors for high power ...

Blast Loads for Offshore Modules
Offshore Technology Conference, 1991ABSTRACT This paper discusses the methods by which the overpressures created by a hydrocarbon explosion within a congested offshore module may be calculated. The nature of the results obtained from numerical simulation are discussed leading to an approach by which a structural loading suitable for use in a linear ...

Module of Additional Orthogonal Load
2020Based on the slip model in the setting of M. Ya. Leonov, the Cicala problem of the additional loading modulus is solved for the orthogonal break of the loading trajectory. The solution has shown that if we duly handle the model parameters, it is possible to eliminate the disadvantage of the Batdorf and Budiansky model revealed by Cicala.

Modulation of microglial activity by salt load and SGK1
NeuroReport, 2020Microglial cells are derived from myelogenous cells and their chronic activation elicits brain inflammation, which influences neurological activity. Comprehensive understanding of the regulation of microglial activation could therefore contribute to overcoming neuropsychiatric disorders.

Supply Modulation of a Broadband Load Modulated Balanced Amplifier
2018 IEEE/MTT-S International Microwave Symposium - IMS, 2018This work presents multi-level supply modulation of a load modulated balanced amplifier (LMBA). The RF-input LMBA employs dynamic active matching for efficient operation over an octave bandwidth. Supply modulation is a natural candidate to further enhance the back-off efficiency of this broadband amplifier due to its independence on RF carrier ...

Demodulation of 13.56 MHz load-modulated signals
e & i Elektrotechnik und Informationstechnik, 2007The paper addresses the demodulation of load modulated signals. Such signals are typically generated by transponders in the reactive near field of High Frequency Radio Frequency Identification (HF-RFID) systems in the 13.56 MHz range. Besides a brief analysis of limitations of such systems we present a simple yet robust demodulation method which can be

Load modulated arrays: a low-complexity antenna
IEEE Communications Magazine, 2016This article describes promising recent progress in the area of massive antenna array architectures with low front-end hardware complexity. The presented technology enables the design and implementation of antenna arrays with large numbers of elements, while obtaining significant front-end hardware savings as compared to the conventional solutions ...

REDISTRIBUTION OF MODULE REACTIONS CAUSED BY ENVIRONMENTAL LOADING
Proceedings of SPE European Petroleum Conference, 1978Abstract Environmental loads on offshore platforms may induce significant distortion of the deck structure. This distortion of the deck structure, resulting in differential vertical deflections of the module support points, causes module reactions to be redistributed.

Analysis of Load-Impedance Modulation
Proceedings of the IRE, 1939A new type of modulation for television transmitters which was proposed recently is investigated. The relations referring to the operation of the network, of the modulator, and of the radio-frequency amplifier tubes are derived as well as the expressions for the sideband attenuation characteristic.

Visual perceptual load modulates an auditory microreflex
Psychophysiology, 2009AbstractThe postauricular reflex (PAR) is a vestigial microreflex evoked by an abrupt auditory onset. Previous studies have indicated that the PAR is unaffected by auditory selective attention. Here, we report that the PAR can be modulated by a crossmodal manipulation of attentional demands within the visual modality.
