Research on Load-Sharing Technology of Toroidal Planetary Worm Based on Sliding Oil Film Supporting Roller

open access: yesLubricants, 2023
In the manufacturing and assembly of a toroidal drive mechanism, errors have a great influence on the load sharing of the mechanism. In order to improve the load-sharing characteristics of the mechanism, a floating oil film structure system is designed ...

Study on the load-sharing characteristics of face-gear four-branching split-torque transmission system

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2021
In order to solve the load-sharing characteristics of face-gear four-branching split-torque transmission system (FGFBSTTS), the static load-sharing mechanical analysis model was established.

Likelihood Ratio Test and Non-parametric Test for Load Sharing

open access: yesAustrian Journal of Statistics, 2021
In present article, we propose a likelihood ratio test and a non-parametric test for testing the load sharing effect observed in the two component parallel load sharing system.

Dynamic modeling and analysis of load sharing characteristics of wind turbine gearbox

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2015
A coupled dynamic model, which contains helical gears-shafts-bearings for a wind turbine gearbox transmission system, was built considering nonlinear factors of the time-varying mesh stiffness, the external varying load, and the dynamic transmission ...

A load-sharing architecture for high performance optimistic simulations on multi-core machines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In Parallel Discrete Event Simulation (PDES), the simulation model is partitioned into a set of distinct Logical Processes (LPs) which are allowed to concurrently execute simulation events.

Adaptive load sharing for network processors [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings.Twenty-First Annual Joint Conference of the IEEE Computer and Communications Societies, 2003
A novel scheme for processing packets in a router is presented, which provides for load sharing among multiple network processors distributed within the router. It is complemented by a feedback control mechanism designed to prevent processor overload. Incoming traffic is scheduled to multiple processors based on a deterministic mapping.

Superstructure stiffness effect on the behavior of piled raft under wind and earthquake loadings [PDF]

open access: yesJES: Journal of Engineering Sciences
Earlier studies relied on simplified methods, assuming uniform or concentrated loads directly transferred from the superstructure to the raft through a fixed boundary condition neglecting the influence of the superstructure's stiffness on the soil ...

Investigation of Adaptive Droop Control Applied to Low-Voltage DC Microgrid

open access: yesEnergies, 2021
In a DC microgrid, droop control is the most common and widely used strategy for managing the power flow from sources to loads. Conventional droop control has some limitations such as poor voltage regulation and improper load sharing between converters ...

Load balancing in processor sharing systems [PDF]

open access: yesTelecommunication Systems, 2008
We investigate optimal load balancing strategies for a multi-class multi-server processor-sharing system with a Poisson input stream, heterogeneous service rates, and a server-dependent holding cost per unit time. Specifically, we study (i) the centralized setting in which a dispatcher routes incoming jobs based on their service time requirements so as
