Dimethyl fumarate combined with cisplatin at subcytotoxic doses sensitizes cervical cancer toward ferroptosis and apoptosis through GSH restriction and p53 (re)activation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dimethyl fumarate (DMF) reduces growth of HPV‐positive cervical cancer spheroids and induces ferroptosis in cervical cancer cells via blocking SLC7A11/Glutathione (GSH) axis. Combination of subcytotoxic doses of DMF and cisplatin (CDDP) further suppresses spheroid growth and drives cell death in 2D culture models.

Fuzzy Load-Shedding Strategy Considering Photovoltaic Output Fluctuation Characteristics and Static Voltage Stability

open access: yesEnergies, 2018
Based on the equilibrium point equations of a classic three-node system integrated with a large-scale photovoltaic cell (PV) power plant, the impact of PV output fluctuation on the saddle-node bifurcation (SNB) was derived and analyzed. When PV runs in a

Emergency load-shedding optimization control method based on reinforcement learning assistance

open access: yesEnergy Reports, 2022
At present, on-line pre-decision and real-time matching control forms are the most widely used emergency control forms in the power system. The safety control system predicts the accidents according to the current operation state of the power grid and ...

A Policy Switching Approach to Consolidating Load Shedding and Islanding Protection Schemes

open access: yes, 2014
In recent years there have been many improvements in the reliability of critical infrastructure systems. Despite these improvements, the power systems industry has seen relatively small advances in this regard. For instance, power quality deficiencies, a

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Analytical hierarchy approach for load shedding scheme: a case study based on the Johor System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
In general, the highly development environment in the society or the natural interruptions can cause loss of the power supply due to the burden of the generator.

Load-shedding probabilities with hybrid renewable power generation and energy storage [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The integration of renewable energy resources, such as solar and wind power, into the electric grid presents challengs partly due to the intermittency in the power output. These difficulties can be alleviated by effectively utilizing energy storage.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.
