Comparison of the Bidirectional Load Test with the Top-Down Load Test
Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2005For the past decade, the Osterberg testing method (O-cell test) has been proved advantageous over the conventional pile load testing method in many aspects. However, because the O-cell test uses a loading mechanism entirely different from that of the conventional pile loading testing method, many investigators and practicing engineers have been ...

ABSTRACTObjectiveThe purpose of this study was to estimate values for the water load test in healthy elementary school children.MethodsWe measured the volume of water consumed by 176 children (71 boys and 105 girls) using the water load test at school. Children completed a questionnaire, which included self‐efficacy and abdominal pain history.

Transverse Loaded Pronosupination Test
Journal of Hand Surgery (European Volume), 2008A new test to evaluate the ability of the distal radioulnar joint to sustain transverse loads while the forearm rotates from pronation to supination is described. Both arms were tested in 100 normal volunteers. The average weight-bearing capability of the normal unsupported forearm was 5.07 kg, equating to a force of 49.8 N.

Improving the Testing Efficiency of Selenium-Based Load Tests
2019 IEEE/ACM 14th International Workshop on Automation of Software Test (AST), 2019Web applications must be load tested to analyze their behavior under various load conditions. Typically, these load tests are automated using protocol-level HTTP requests (e.g., using JMeter). However, there are several disadvantages to using protocol-level requests for load tests.

On-load tests constitute the final activity in the commissioning process. They are carried out immediately after the newly installed equipment is energised from the power system, and they are the definitive tests in verifying that the equipment has been correctly installed, and is satisfactory for commercial operation.

Developers typically measure a Web application's quality of service in terms of response time, throughput, and availability. Poor QoS translates into frustrated customers, which can lead to lost business opportunities. At the same time, company expenditures on a Web site's IT infrastructure are a function of the site's expected traffic.

Patients with hyperkalaemic periodic paralysis (adynamia episodica hereditaria) and normokalaemic periodic paralysis are not improved by oral potassium supplements, and indeed both are clinically intolerant of a potassium load, the former developing, in addition, a raised serum potassium.
