Bifurcation analysis of the load flow equations
1980 19th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the Symposium on Adaptive Processes, 1980The bifurcation of the load flow equation of a power transmission network with PV buses and lossless lines is studied. This analysis has application in the development of numerical continuation methods.

A semilinear beam equation with nonconstant loads
Nonlinear Analysis: Theory, Methods & Applications, 1997Summary: We investigate multiplicity of solutions \(u(x,t)\) for a piecewise linear perturbation \(-(bu^+ -au^-)\) of the one-dimensional beam operator \(u_{tt} +u_{xxxx}\) under Dirichlet boundary condition on the interval \((-\pi/2, \pi/2)\) and periodic condition on the variable \(t\).

Unit stream power equations for total load
Journal of Hydrology, 1979Abstract A dimensionless unit stream power equation for the computation and prediction of total sediment concentration is obtained without using any criterion for incipient motion. This equation is compared with a similar dimensionless unit stream power equation proposed by the author in 1973 with the inclusion of criteria for incipient motion ...

Modified Boussinesq's equations for nonuniform tire loading
Journal of Terramechanics, 2000Hypotheses from elasticity theory were used for modeling stress distribution in a semi-infinite-homogeneous medium when a point load was applied on its surface. A Concentration factor coefficient was introduced to adapt the equations to the characteristics of the investigated soil.

Bed-Load Transport Equation for Sheet Flow
Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, 2003When open-channel flows become sufficiently powerful, the mode of bed-load transport changes from saltation to sheet flow. Where there is no suspended sediment, sheet flow consists of a layer of colliding grains whose basal concentration approaches that of the stationary bed. These collisions give rise to a dispersive stress that acts normal to the bed

New Comprehensive Equation to Predict Liquid Loading
SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 2013Abstract Liquid loading occurs in most of marginal natural gas wells. Many models have been developed to predict the inception of liquid loading. Detailed review of these models and comparison between droplet model and film models are presented in the paper.
