Calculation and Analysis of Meshing Efficiency of the New Internal S-gears
In order to accurately calculate the meshing efficiency of the new internal S-gears, a time-varying friction model of the elastohydrodynamic lubrication is established considering the surface sliding of the gear tooth, lubricating oil condition and load.

Meshing Performance Analysis of a Topologically Modified and Formed Internal Helical Gear Pair
Internal helical gear pairs are sensitive to manufacturing and assembly errors, loading deformation, which can result in vibration and noise. Three-dimensional topological modification of tooth surfaces is available to reduce this sensitivity.

Effect of contact ratio on spur gear dynamic load [PDF]
A computer simulation is presented which shows how the gear contact ratio affects the dynamic load on a spur gear transmission. The contact ratio can be affected by the tooth addendum, the pressure angle, the tooth size (diametral pitch), and the center ...

Confocal Raman microscopy was used to map the dentin–enamel junction (DEJ) across four mammalian species. Chemical maps highlighted variations in mineral (phosphate/carbonate) and organic (amide/CH) phase. These results provide a comparative Raman framework to link tooth microchemistry with species‐specific structure and function.

Parameter studies of gear cooling using an automatic finites element mesh generator [PDF]
The range of accuracies achieved in the gear tooth temperature using an automatic finite element mesh generator were investigated. Gear web contribution to the gear cooling process was studied by introducing a varying size hole at the center of the gear ...
