A Tooth Contact Analysis Model for Crossed Axis Helical Gears Under Load
Volume 2B: 24th Biennial Mechanisms Conference, 1996Abstract This paper presents an approach for the analysis of tooth contact and load distribution of helical gears with crossed axis. The approach is based on a tooth contact model that accommodates the influence of tooth profile modifications, gear manufacturing errors and tooth surface deformation on gear mesh quality.

Gear Contact Model and Loaded Tooth Contact Analysis of a Three-Dimensional, Thin-Rimmed Gear
Journal of Mechanical Design, 2002This paper performs loaded tooth contact analysis of a three-dimensional, thin-rimmed gear (3DTRG) by presenting a method that combines the mathematical programming method with the three-dimensional, finite element method (3DFEM). Also, a face-contact and whole gear deformation model is used for the 3DTRG.

Helical gear multi-contact tooth mesh load analysis with flexible bearings and shafts
Structural Engineering and Mechanics, 2015A multi-contact tooth meshing model for helical gear pairs considering bearing and shaft deformations is proposed. First, to easily incorporate into the system model, the complicated Harris\'s bearing force-displacement relationship is simplified applying a linear least square curve fit.

Loaded tooth contact analysis and dynamic investigation of Spiral Bevel Gears
2021To transfer the power between non-parallel shafts, bevel gear pairs, especially spiral bevel gear pairs (SBGs), play a significant role in transmission systems. SBGs are smooth, quiet, and can bear high levels of torque and power thanks to a high contact ratio, although their complex geometry requires recognizing the parameters which affect the ...
