Gear Tooth Root Stresses of a Very Heavily Loaded Gear Pair-Case Study: Orbiter Body Flap Actuator Pinion and Ring Gear [PDF]
The space shuttle orbiter's body flap actuator gearing was assessed as a case study of the stresses for very heavily loaded external-internal gear pairs (meshing pinion and ring gear).

A new approach has been developed by the authors to estimate the load share of worm gear drives, and to calculate the instantaneous tooth meshing stiffness and loaded transmission errors. In the approach, the finite element (FE) modelling is based on the modified tooth geometry, which ensures that the worm gear teeth are in localized contact.

The effects of NETs on regeneration of various diabetic tissues, and strategies targeting NETs for diabetes tissue regeneration. In the diabetic environment, NETs undergo complex metabolic and immune reprogramming, leading to dynamic changes in antibacterial and proinflammatory functions, and affecting regeneration of multiple systemic tissues.

Diet of bird‐like troodontid dinosaurs: synthesis of a contentious clade
ABSTRACT Troodontidae is a clade of small‐to medium‐sized maniraptoran theropods that mainly lived in Laurasia (modern Asia, North America and Europe) during the Jurassic and Cretaceous periods and are believed to have had a variety of diets. The uniqueness of troodontid teeth suggests that they diverged from the typical flesh‐based diet of non‐avian ...

Effect of extended tooth contact on the modeling of spur gear transmissions [PDF]
In some gear dynamic models, the effect of tooth flexibility is ignored when the model determines which pairs of teeth are in contact. Deflection of loaded teeth is not introduced until the equations of motion are solved.

Periodontitis treatment and microbiome in a patient with FAM20A mutation: Case study of 1.5 years
Abstract Background Enamel‐renal‐gingival syndrome (ERGS) is an autosomal recessive disorder caused by mutations in the FAMily with sequence similarity 20A (FAM20A) gene, and is characterized by amelogenesis imperfecta, delayed or failed tooth eruption, and periodontitis.

Perigraftitis treatment and histology: A case report
Abstract Background Currently, the two diagnoses of inflammatory peri‐implant diseases are peri‐implant mucositis and peri‐implantitis. The etiology of peri‐implant mucositis and peri‐implantitis is bacterial colonization of the implant. Thus, removal of the implant should eliminate the infection and allow the inflammation to resolve. However, at least

Load Contact Analysis and Strength Calculation of Spur Gear
Through tooth contact analysis( TCA) and loaded tooth contact analysis( LTCA),the meshing process of spur gear pair is simulated. Based on this, combining with the elasticity theory, the contact stress on each meshing point are calculated.

Abstract Background Delayed wound healing following implant placement surgery is an uncommon complication, usually attributed to systemic (smoking and alcohol), local (severely inflamed tissues), or technical (poor suturing) factors. However, delayed wound healing after implant placement caused by severe hypovitaminosis C has not been previously ...
