Smaller is better: nanobodies meet NMR

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nanobodies are single‐domain antigen‐binding fragments derived from camelid heavy chain antibodies. Their small size, high stability, and exceptional specificity make nanobodies uniquely useful probes for NMR studies of protein dynamics, transient conformational states, and protein–protein interactions.

Study on the Influence of Loading Frequency on the Bearing Behavior of Pile Groups in Geosynthetic-Reinforced Pile-Supported Embankments

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering
The mechanism of soil arching is a critical technical issue in the load transfer of geosynthetic-reinforced pile-supported (GRPS) embankments. To investigate the evolution of soil arching under high-speed railway loading within a pile group system, a ...

Effect of Cyclic Loading Treatment on the Compression Energy and Creep Properties of Machine-Harvested Seed Cotton

open access: yesAgriculture
Machine-harvested seed cotton was taken as the research object to further clarify its creep performance, minimize its power consumption during the loading process, and obtain a better loading method.

Membrane composition and thermodynamic identity as boundaries of life for synthetic cell research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
What makes a cell a cell? The boundary of a living cell is not just a wall. Read as a Markov blanket, the membrane separates internal from external states, generating identity and non‐equilibrium order. Can this identity be rebuilt from scratch in a synthetic cell?

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Influence of Loading Frequency on Fatigue Properties of Structural Materials

open access: yes, 2008
This thesis analyse the influence of loading frequency on the fatigue of the structural materials. Low frequency loading (to the 200 Hz) has nearly no influence on the fatigue properties in almost all cases.

Double dominant frequency of microseismic signal and micro-fracture mechanism of granite rockmass

open access: yesGeomechanics and Geophysics for Geo-Energy and Geo-Resources
Microseismic monitoring plays a pivotal role in understanding rock fracture mechanisms in engineering. This study integrates laboratory-scale acoustic emission experiments with engineering -scale microseismic monitoring to examine the double dominant ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.
