Biological assets as mudharabah-based loan collateral for smallholder farmers in Indonesia: a feasibility study

CD168 Identifies Proliferating Pancreatic Islet Cells in Murine and Human

This study identifies CD168 as a conserved surface marker for proliferating β‐cells in mouse, human islets, and pancreatic islet tumors. CD168⁺ cells show high proliferation and low insulin expression. CD168+ cells form mostly uni‐β lineage clones, and some of the clones are multi‐lineage.

Identification and Characterization of an In Silico Designed Membrane‐Active Peptide with Antiviral Properties

An evolutionary molecular dynamics platform is used to design P1.6, a membrane‐active peptide that senses lipid packing defects in viral envelopes. P1.6 adopts a stabilized α‐helical structure upon membrane contact, disrupts virus‐like liposomes, and damages HIV‐1 particles.

Lending Growth, Non-Performing Loans and Loan Losses

At macro level, large loan losses for banks have often been preceded by periods of high lending growth. We analyse at bank level whether high loan growth also leads to more problem loans later on. The analysis is carried out on a panel of Norwegian banks covering the period 1996 – 2016.
