Lobachevsky holography in conformal Chern-Simons gravity

open access: yes, 2013
We propose Lobachevsky boundary conditions that lead to asymptotically H^2xR solutions. As an example we check their consistency in conformal Chern-Simons gravity.

On the Question of the Solution of the Wave Equation

open access: yesAdvances in Mathematical Physics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
The problem of normal incidence of a plane wave on a layer with a one‐dimensional perturbation of the permittivity of the medium is considered under the condition that the spatial scale of the inhomogeneity can be both much smaller and on the order of the wavelength in vacuum.

Frame-independence of the Inhomogeneous Mixmaster Chaos via Misner-Chitre'-like variables

open access: yes, 2004
We outline the covariant nature, with respect to the choice of a reference frame, of the chaos characterizing the generic cosmological solution near the initial singularity, i.e. the so-called inhomogeneous Mixmaster model.

Cunning Pathogen Tactics: Neutrophil Movement Influenced by Bacterial Attractants in the Experimental Model

open access: yesCellular Microbiology, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
To explore the peculiarities of neutrophil motility, two models of chemoattraction were created: a horizontal model, where a container with bacterial chemoattractant was attached laterally to the endotheliocyte monolayer, and a vertical model, simulating a pyemic focus in the lower part of the modified Boyden chamber.

On fundamental domains and volumes of hyperbolic Coxeter-Weyl groups

open access: yes, 2011
We present a simple method for determining the shape of fundamental domains of generalized modular groups related to Weyl groups of hyperbolic Kac-Moody algebras.

Enhanced Organ Protection During Cardiopulmonary Bypass in Cardiac Surgery: Synergistic Effects of Nitric Oxide and Hydrogen Therapy

open access: yesJournal of Cardiac Surgery, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
Background/Aim The present study investigates the effects of isolated administration of nitric oxide (NO) and molecular hydrogen (H2), as well as their combined delivery into the gas supply line of the cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) circuit. The primary objective is to evaluate their impact on antioxidant activity, biomarkers of myocardial injury, and ...

SKYQUANT 3D: Quantifying Vascular Anatomy With an Open‐Source Workflow for Comprehensive Analysis of Volumetric Optoacoustic Angiography Data

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, Volume 17, Issue 11, November 2024.
SKYQUANT 3D is a workflow with a set of Python instructions for Avizo, designed to optimize the quantification of optoacoustic angiograms. Our workflow automates batch processing, significantly accelerating volumetric data handling compared to traditional manual methods, thus facilitating analysis of vascular systems in preclinical and clinical ...

Motion Caused by Magnetic Field in Lobachevsky Space

open access: yes, 2010
We study motion of a relativistic particle in the 3-dimensional Lobachevsky space in the presence of an external magnetic field which is analogous to a constant uniform magnetic field in the Euclidean space.

Bayesian and deep‐learning models applied to the early detection of ovarian cancer using multiple longitudinal biomarkers

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 13, Issue 7, April 2024.
Using the data from largest prospective ovarian cancer clinical trial, we assessed, for the first time, the performance of deep and statistical learning approaches in evaluating of the panel longitudinal biomarkers. Our results demonstrate that these models outperform CA125, the single best ovarian cancer biomarker.

Isometric action of SL(2,R) on homogeneous spaces

open access: yes, 2009
We investigate the SL(2,R) invariant geodesic curves with the as- sociated invariant distance function in parabolic geometry. Parabolic geom- etry naturally occurs in the study of SL(2,R) and is placed in between the elliptic and the hyperbolic (also ...
