On local behavior of singular positive solutions to nonlocal elliptic equations

, 2016
We study local behavior of positive solutions to the fractional Yamabe equation with a singular set of fractional capacity zero.

On the local behavior of the Orlicz–Sobolev classes

Journal of Mathematical Sciences, 2017
For a domain \(D\) of a Riemannian manifold \(M\) of dimension \(n\geq 3\), the authors study families of mappings of the Orlic-Sobolev classes in \(D\) into \(M\). They prove that these families are equicontinuous, when their internal dilatation of the order \(p\in (n-1,n]\) has a majorant of the finite mean oscillation class at every point of the ...

Adding an integration with prescribed local behavior

IEEE Conference on Decision and Control and European Control Conference, 2011
Among the non-linear control techniques, some Lyapunov design methods (Forwarding / Backstepping) take advantage of the structure of the system (Feedforward-form / Feedback-form) to formulate a continuous control law which stabilizes globally and asymptotically the equilibrium. In addition to stabilization, we focus on the local behaviour of the closed

Local mode behavior in H2Te

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2007
A high-resolution spectrum of hydrogen telluride (H2Te) was recorded in the 4050–7000cm−1 region. Two bands could be observed at 4900 and 5980cm−1 and were assigned as the (20±,1)←(00+,0) and (30±,0)←(00+,0) bands, respectively. Rotational transitions of the two bands were assigned for the most abundant H2Te130 and H2Te128 isotopic species.

TCP Performance and Behaviors with Local Retransmissions

The Journal of Supercomputing, 2002
TCP has been the dominant transport protocol over the global Internet, and its performance over a hybrid wireless/wireline network has attracted much attention in recent years. This paper investigates the end-to-end TCP performance, in terms of normalized throughput, effective goodput, and packet delay, over wireless lossy links with local ...

Investigating local corrosion behavior and mechanism of MAO coated 7075 aluminum alloy

, 2020
In order to study the effect of defects on the corrosion behavior of MAO coatings, global electrochemical method including potentiodynamic polarization (PDP) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) was used to measure the corrosion resistance of

A Note on Local Behavior of Multiple Eigenvalues

SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications, 1989
The author investigates the local behavior of multiple eigenvalues of a symmetric eigenproblem analytically dependent on several parameters. The directional derivatives of the eigenvalues are given which are useful for investigating structural vibration design and control system design.

On the Local Behavior of Ψ(x, y)

Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1986
Let \(\Psi\) (x,y) denote the number of positive integers up to x and free of prime factors greater than y. Although \(\Psi\) (x,y) cannot be well approximated by a smooth function when y is small compared to x it is proved that it behaves locally more regular.

Global convergence of local agent behaviors

Proceedings of the fourth international joint conference on Autonomous agents and multiagent systems, 2005
Many multi-agent systems seek to reconcile two apparently inconsistent constraints. The system has a global overall objective. However, the agents have only local information to guide their actions. Such systems are presently more art than science. They often exhibit regularities (such as exponential convergence) that we do not understand, and we do ...
