We present a class of spline finite element methods for time-domain wave propagation which are particularly amenable to explicit time-stepping. The proposed methods utilize a discontinuous Galerkin discretization to enforce continuity of the solution ...

A Discontinuous Galerkin Method for Ideal Two-Fluid Plasma Equations
A discontinuous Galerkin method for the ideal 5 moment two-fluid plasma system is presented. The method uses a second or third order discontinuous Galerkin spatial discretization and a third order TVD Runge-Kutta time stepping scheme.

hp-adaptive discontinuous Galerkin solver for elliptic equations in numerical relativity
A considerable amount of attention has been given to discontinuous Galerkin methods for hyperbolic problems in numerical relativity, showing potential advantages of the methods in dealing with hydrodynamical shocks and other discontinuities.

GPU Accelerated Discontinuous Galerkin Methods for Shallow Water Equations
We discuss the development, verification, and performance of a GPU accelerated discontinuous Galerkin method for the solutions of two dimensional nonlinear shallow water equations. The shallow water equations are hyperbolic partial differential equations

A locally field-aligned discontinuous Galerkin method
Motivated by problems in plasma physics, we deduce several models in two- and three-dimensional geometries and construct a discontinuous Galerkin (DG) method using a non-conforming locally field-aligned mesh. This approach allows us to distribute resolution parallel and perpendicular to the magnetic field.
