Local Existence of Strong Solutions to the 3D Zakharov-Kuznetsov Equation in a Bounded Domain

Applied Mathematics and Optimization, 2013
We consider here the local existence of strong solutions for the Zakharov-Kuznetsov (ZK) equation posed in a limited domain \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage ...

A LOCAL CRITERION FOR THE EXISTENCE OF WAVE OPERATORS

Mathematics of the USSR-Izvestiya, 1968
Within the framework of the theory of nuclear perturbations of self-adjoint operators, conditions are given for the existence of wave operators corresponding to a given part of the spectrum. Conditions are given separately for the existence of weak wave operators, for them to be isometric and for them to be complete.

On Some Existence Varieties of Locally Orthodox Semigroups

International Journal of Algebra and Computation, 1997
The main objective of the paper is to study existence varieties generated by Mal'cev products of the form \({\mathcal P}({\mathcal Y})\circ{\mathcal Q}\) where \(\mathcal Q\) is an (e-)variety of completely simple semigroups not consisting entirely of rectangular groups and \(\mathcal P(\mathcal Y)\) is the (e-)variety of bands all of whose monoids ...

ON SOME EXISTENCE VARIETIES OF LOCALLY INVERSE SEMIGROUPS

International Journal of Algebra and Computation, 1996
A semigroup \(S\) is locally inverse if (in the context of this paper) it is regular and for each idempotent \(e\), \(eSe\) is inverse. The class \(\mathcal {LI}\) is all such semigroups forms an e(xistence)-variety: a class of regular semigroups closed under direct products, quotients and regular subsemigroups. \textit{Y. T. Local existence and formation of singularities

2010
For a geometric flow of the form (1.4) we have the following result, which ensures local existence and uniqueness of the solution under a suitable assumption on the initial data.

On the existence of locally mvu estimators

Statistica Neerlandica, 1992
It is proved that there exists an unbiased estimator for some real parameter of a class of distributions, which has minimal variance for some fixed distribution among all corresponding unbiased estimators, if and. only if the corresponding minimal variances for all related unbiased estimation problems concerning finite subsets of the underlying family ...

Remark on the existence of localized states

Journal of Physics C: Solid State Physics, 1971
The definition of localized states given by anderson (1958) cannot be used for ensemble-averaged green functions as has been done by lloyd (1969) for his model hamiltonian of a disordered system. An applicable definition is suggested.

Local existence of the nerve impulse

Mathematical Biosciences, 1978
Abstract The existence of an impulse solution to a general nerve axon equation is demonstrated in the neighborhood of an assumed sufficiently good approximate solution. This is done in a functional analytic setting by an iteration based on Newton's method which it is shown would converge to the solution (and its velocity).

Local Symbols and Existence Theorem

1979
Let K be a field, Ks a separable closure of K, and let G = G(Ks/K). If χ is a character of G— i.e., an element of H1(G,Q/Z) then δχ is an element of H2(G, Z). If b ∈ K*, the cup product b. δχ is an element of the Brauer group H2(G, Ks*) = Bk. We denote this element by the symbol (χ,b).
