Localization of Electrical Flows [PDF]
We show that in any graph, the average length of a flow path in an electrical flow between the endpoints of a random edge is $O(\log^2 n)$. This is a consequence of a more general result which shows that the spectral norm of the entrywise absolute value of the transfer impedance matrix of a graph is $O(\log^2 n)$. This result implies a simple oblivious

Local sections of flows on manifolds [PDF]
We show the existence of local sections for dynamical systems on manifolds which are themselves generalized manifolds of codimension one. One implication of this is that the level surfaces of Lyapunov functions on three-manifolds are two-manifolds. This fact is used to study the geometry of stable attractors in three-manifolds.

Local/global scene flow estimation [PDF]
The scene flow describes the 3D motion of every point in a scene between two time steps. We present a novel method to estimate a dense scene flow using intensity and depth data. It is well known that local methods are more robust under noise while global techniques yield dense motion estimation.

An Example of a Local Flow on a Manifold [PDF]
Let p be a point of a smooth n -dimensional manifold. If n is even it is easy to construct a local flow about p such that p is an ...

Flow-Sensitive Fault Localization [PDF]
Identifying the cause of an error is often the most time-consuming part in program debugging. Fault localization techniques can help to automate this task. Particularly promising are static proof-based techniques that rely on an encoding of error traces into trace formulas. By identifying irrelevant portions of the trace formula, the possible causes of

Local grouping for optical flow [PDF]
Optical flow estimation requires spatial integration, which essentially poses a grouping question: what points belong to the same motion and what do not. Classical local approaches to optical flow, such as Lucas-Kanade, use isotropic neighborhoods and have considerable difficulty near motion boundaries.
