Face Recognition with Local Line Binary Pattern
2009 Fifth International Conference on Image and Graphics, 2009In this paper, we introduce a novel face representation method for face recognition, called Local Line Binary Pattern (LLBP), which is motivated from Local Binary Pattern (LBP) due to it summarizes the local spacial structure of an image by thresholding the local window with binary weight and introduce the decimal number as a texture presentation ...

Face Recognition with Statistical Local Line Binary Pattern
2011 Seventh International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Security, 2011In this paper, we present an improved method for face recognition named statistical Local Line Binary Pattern (SLLBP), which is based on Local Binary Pattern (LBP). The basic idea of the algorithm is to first obtain the local binary code along with horizontal and vertical direction separately and the gray-level difference between neighbor pixels, which

Local Line Binary Pattern Vein Extraction from Dorsal Hand Images for Intruder Detection
2019 E-Health and Bioengineering Conference (EHB), 2019Personal identification techniques could be found in a wide range of systems that process biometric data. Nowadays, fingerprint, voice or iris traits are employed on a large scale for biometric identification. In recent years, the hand vein structure models attracted the researchers’ attention and is considered to be much safer compared to other ...

Visual object recognition using multi-scale local binary patterns and line segment feature
International Journal of Signal and Imaging Systems Engineering, 2012This paper presents two visual features for object recognition. One is multi-scale Local Binary Pattern (LBP) operator extracted from coarse-to-fine image blocks to well describe texture structures. The other is line segment feature based on Gestalt-inspired region segmentation and fast Hough transform to capture accurate geometric information.

Massive individuals identification is a challenging problem in modern society. Particularly, finger-vein recognition is an emerging biometric technique with several advantages, especially in terms of security against forgery. In this paper, we propose a hybrid parallel matching process for finger-vein recognition under two different parallel platforms,

Customized Local Line Binary Pattern Method for Finger Vein Recognition
2017Finger vein images present plenty of oriented features. Local line binary pattern (LLBP) and its variance are very good oriented feature representation methods, but their discrimination may be limited, since they does not utilize the class labels in the process of extracting features.

Enhanced Line Local Binary Patterns (EL-LBP): An Efficient Image Representation for Face Recognition
2018Local Binary Patterns (LBP) is one of the efficient approaches for image representation, especially in the face recognition field. The motivation of the present study is to find a compact descriptor which captures texture information and yet is robust against several visual challenges such as illumination variation, facial expressions and head pose ...
