A Fast and Efficient MPPT Technique Based on Voltage Transients for PV Systems Under Partial Shading Conditions

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 19, Issue 1, January/December 2025.
In this work, a new MPPT algorithm is proposed that operates by utilizing the transient behavior of the capacitor used at the output of the PV system. The efficiency of the proposed MPPT algorithm varies between 99.92% and 99.21% from PSC1 to PSC6. The average efficiency obtained across all cases is 99.678%. The tracking speed of the proposed algorithm

An MPPT method using phasor particle swarm optimization for PV‐based generation system under varying irradiance conditions

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 18, Issue 16, Page 4197-4209, 7 December 2024.
The metaheuristic algorithms are used nowadays eliminating the possibility of getting trapped at the local optima. However, particle swarm optimization (PSO) suffers from delayed convergence, more iterations to reach the optimal point, and random parameter selection.

An improved regression‐based perturb and observation global maximum power point tracker methods

open access: yesIET Renewable Power Generation, Volume 18, Issue 9-10, Page 1646-1660, 17 July 2024.
This paper proposes a regression‐based perturbation and observation method to quickly find a global maximum power point tracker, avoiding being stuck in local maxima, likewise analytical and metaheuristic methods. Linear and non‐linear regression analyses narrow the search area using generated photovoltaic model on a flexible Python environment ...

Microencapsulated polyphenol extracts from Georgia‐grown pomegranate peels delay lipid oxidation in salad dressing during accelerated and ambient storage conditions

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 12, Issue 1, Page 370-384, January 2024.
Natural phytochemicals such as polyphenols are effective antioxidants. Microencapsulated pomegranate peel polyphenol can be used as a novel food ingredient to delay lipid oxidation in salad dressings. Abstract Lipid oxidation is a major cause of quality deterioration in salad dressings. This study evaluated the effect of incorporating microencapsulated

Sand cat swarm optimization based maximum power point tracking technique for photovoltaic system under partial shading conditions

open access: yesInternational Journal of Electrical Power & Energy Systems
Maximum power point tracking (MPPT) plays a crucial role in photovoltaic systems (PVS). In partial shading conditions (PSCs), the P-V characteristic curves of PVS exhibit multiple peaks. Traditional MPPT algorithms, like perturbation and observation (P&O)
