Analysis of Turbulent Modeling for Free‐Surface Flows Using a Hybrid RANS‐LES Model and Particle‐Based Moving Particle Semi‐Implicit Method

open access: yesInternational Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids, Volume 98, Issue 3, Page 321-347, March 2026.
A hybrid RANS‐LES turbulence model adapted for the Moving Particle Semi‐implicit method is employed to investigate a turbulent free surface flow. A method based on the cell‐linked list is proposed to speed up the nearest wall search for the turbulence model.

A new meshless interpolation scheme for MLPG_R method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In the MLPG{\_}R (Meshless Local Petrove-Galerkin based on Rankine source solution) method, one needs a meshless interpolation scheme for an unknown function to discretise the governing equation.

On Meshfree GFDM Solvers for the Incompressible Navier-Stokes Equations

open access: yes, 2017
Meshfree solution schemes for the incompressible Navier--Stokes equations are usually based on algorithms commonly used in finite volume methods, such as projection methods, SIMPLE and PISO algorithms.

Moving Finite Element Method-a Local Meshless Formulation

open access: yesInternational Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, 2019
A novel discretization method is proposed and developed for numerical solution of boundary value problems governed by partial differential equations. In contrast to the standard Finite Element Method (FEM), the analyzed domain is not covered by a mesh of fixed non-overlapping finite elements, but only a net of nodes is used for discretization.

Numerical Simulations of Very Low Velocity Impacts and Ignition of an Explosive Confined by a Thin Case

open access: yesPropellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, Volume 51, Issue 3, Page 446-455, March 2026.
A low‐speed impact (around one meter per second) of a metallic tip on an explosive confined by a thin plate is simulated. The heat due to friction between the tip and the plate and the one due to the deformation of the plate are not transfered to the ignited zone.

Adaptive smoothed FEM for forming simulations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
FEMsimulation of large deformations as occur in metal forming processes is usually accompanied with highly distorted meshes. This leads first to a reduction of accuracy and later to loss of convergence when implicit solvers are used.
