Variable Shape Parameter Strategy in Local Radial Basis Functions Collocation Method for Solving the 2D Nonlinear Coupled Burgers’ Equations

open access: yesMathematics, 2017
This study aimed at investigating a local radial basis function collocation method (LRBFCM) in the reproducing kernel Hilbert space. This method was, in fact, a meshless one which applied the local sub-clusters of domain nodes for the approximation of ...

Meshless IEFGM‐Based Numerical Modeling of Grounding Systems With Counterpoise Wires

open access: yesInternational Journal of Numerical Modelling: Electronic Networks, Devices and Fields, Volume 39, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
ABSTRACT This paper presents a comprehensive numerical analysis of a counterpoise grounding wire subjected to low‐frequency surge currents, employing the Interpolating Element‐Free Galerkin Method (IEFGM). The analysis involves significant challenges arising from the high ratio between the conductor length and its radius—which demands fine spatial ...

Analytical formulation of meshless local integral equation method

open access: yesApplied Mathematical Modelling, 2013
Abstract In this paper, the exact forms of integrals in the meshless local boundary integral equation method are derived and implemented for elastostatic problems. A weak form for a set of governing equations with a unit test function or polynomial test functions is transformed into local integral equations.

Moving Finite Element Method-a Local Meshless Formulation

open access: yesInternational Conference on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences, 2019
A novel discretization method is proposed and developed for numerical solution of boundary value problems governed by partial differential equations. In contrast to the standard Finite Element Method (FEM), the analyzed domain is not covered by a mesh of fixed non-overlapping finite elements, but only a net of nodes is used for discretization.
