Tailoring Laser Powder Bed Fusion and Post‐Processing Parameters for JIS SKD61 Tool Steels: Surface Roughness, Microstructure, and Mechanical Properties

open access: yessteel research international, EarlyView.
Laser powder bed fusion of JIS SKD61 tool steel is systematically optimized using a Taguchi design and ANOVA. Hatch spacing and layer thickness are identified as dominant parameters controlling surface roughness and tensile strength. Subsequent tempering at 600°C improves microstructural stability and mechanical performance, enabling high‐density SKD61

A Large Language Model‐Based Approach for Fault Detection and Its Application

open access: yesSafety Science and Technology, EarlyView.
This work proposes an interpretable fault detection framework utilizing pre‐trained large language models to overcome small sample sizes and label scarcity in industrial datasets. A stepwise tuple‐based validation mitigates hallucinations, ensuring reliable detection.

Short‐Term Multi‐Horizon Line Loss Rate Forecasting of a Distribution Network Using Attention‐GCN‐LSTM

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurately predicting line loss rates is crucial for effective management in distribution networks, particularly for short‐term multihorizon forecasts ranging from 1 hour to 1 week. In this study, we propose attention‐GCN–LSTM, a novel method that integrates graph convolutional networks (GCN), long short‐term memory (LSTM) and a three‐level ...

RES‐AD: An AutoML‐Driven Robust Ensemble Framework for Real‐Time Anomaly Detection and Energy Forecasting in Smart Grids

open access: yesCAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Accurate load forecasting and reliable anomaly detection are critical for the stable operation of modern smart grids (SGs), which increasingly rely on cyber‐connected infrastructures. However, the integration of smart metres and two‐way communication exposes SGs to data integrity attacks that can manipulate consumption measurements, degrade ...

Proteomic signatures of protected APOE ε4 carriers reveal causal pathways associated with delayed Alzheimer's disease onset

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION APOE ε4 is the strongest common genetic risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD), yet many carriers remain cognitively unimpaired into late life. We tested whether protected ε4‐first plasma proteomics could identify proteins associated with delayed clinical onset.

Graph–Time IoT IDS: Requirement‐Aligned Impact Evaluation

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 7, July 2026.
A multi‐view intrusion detection framework (IMPACT‐MVG) combines temporal behavior modeling and graph‐based interaction analysis to detect IoT network attacks. Impact‐centric evaluation using the ICSec score shows that the approach reduces operational damage from intrusions while maintaining efficient, explainable, and privacy‐aware security monitoring.

Fibroblast Transcriptomics in Molecular Diagnostics of a Comprehensive Dystonia Cohort

open access: yesAnnals of Neurology, Volume 99, Issue 6, Page 1363-1378, June 2026.
Objective Genomic sequencing leaves >50% of dystonia‐affected individuals without a diagnosis. Where DNA‐oriented approaches remain insufficient, integrating multiomics is essential to advance genome interpretation. Herein, we incorporated RNA sequencing (RNA‐seq) data from 167 patients with dystonia across a range of ages and presentations. Methods We

Whole Genome Sequence Analysis of Weight Loss in 16 972 Participants With COPD Reveals Novel Risk Loci in DRAIC and RFX3

open access: yesJournal of Cachexia, Sarcopenia and Muscle, Volume 17, Issue 3, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is associated with musculoskeletal comorbidities, including cachexia. Weight loss (WL) is the major criterion for cachexia and increases risk for mortality in COPD. Risk factors for WL in COPD are incompletely understood.
