Locally tensor product functions

Numerical Algorithms, 2005
A class of tensor product functions in subdomains (usually with different ``steps'' of the grid for different subdomains) is constructed. The global function is not a tensor product function. Some fine error bounds for these functions are unknown. The property of smoothness and some discontinuities of global functions are not investigated.

Experimental production of local osteomalacia

Experientia, 1978
The newly deposited bone which was laid down on necrotic bone in the experimentally produced osteochondral chips in the knee joint of 16 sheep and rabbits remained unmineralized and undermineralized in which respect it resembled osteomalatic bone. Local factors which interfere with the mineralisation of a new covering bone should be considered in the ...

Decentralization and Localization of Production

California Management Review, 2017
The future organizational landscape may change drastically by mid-century as a result of widespread implementation of 3D printing. This article argues that global will turn local; mega (factories, ships, malls) will become mini; long supply chains will shrink; many jobs will be broadened to combine design, consulting, sales, and production roles; and ...

Locality, Housing Production, and the Local State

Environment and Planning D: Society and Space, 1996
This paper is a contribution to the debate about the local state and its activity in the relations and practices of regulation. Housing production programmes are examined at the level of the municipality, as a way of shedding light on the institutional structuring of the activity of agents in housing production. Changes in the characteristics of these

Local Production of Angiotensinogen

2005
Genetic approaches such as gene targeting have been extensively used to gain a better understanding of the role of hormones and pathways involved in cardiovascular physiology. Given its pivotal role in cardiovascular homeostasis the renin-angiotensin system has been one of the most frequently targeted systems.

Local Productivity Spillovers

American Economic Review
Using Canadian administrative data, this paper presents evidence of revenue and productivity spillovers across firms at fine spatial scales. Accounting for the endogenous sorting of firms across space, we estimate an average elasticity of firm revenue and productivity with respect to the average quality of other firms within 75 meters of 0.024.
