Localizations of HNP rings [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions of the American Mathematical Society, 1972
In this paper it is shown that every hereditary Noetherian prime ring is the intersection of a hereditary Noetherian prime ring having no invertible ideals with a bounded hereditary Noetherian prime ring in which every nonzero two-sided ideal contains an invertible two-sided ideal.

Finiteness in derived categories of local rings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
New homotopy invariant finiteness conditions on modules over commutative rings are introduced, and their properties are studied systematically. A number of finiteness results for classical homological invariants like flat dimension, injective dimension ...

On regular local rings [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1963
This paper generalizes slightly a result of Kunz [1 ] and Nakai [2]. If R> S are commutative rings with identity we introduce a module D*(R/S) defined as the quotient of the module D(R/S) of S differentials of R by the submodule consisting of elements which are mapped to zero by every homomorphism of D(R/S) having values in a finitely generated R ...

Ring-originated anisotropy of local structural ordering in amorphous and crystalline silicon dioxide

open access: yesCommunications Materials, 2023
Rings comprising chemically bonded atoms are essential topological motifs for the structural ordering of network-forming materials. Quantification of such larger motifs beyond short-range pair correlation is essential for understanding the linkages ...

Strict Local Rings [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1982
In this paper we introduce the notion of a strict local ring. A local Cohen-Macaulay ring ( B , m ) (B,m) is called strict if, whenever a local ring ( A , n ) (A,n) specializes by a regular sequence to B B , then the associated ...

The Graph of Annihilating Ideals [PDF]

open access: yesAl-Rafidain Journal of Computer Sciences and Mathematics, 2018
Let R be a commutative ring with identity and AG(R) be the set of ideals with      non-zero annihilators. The annihilating ideal graph AG(R) is a graph of vertex set             AG (R){(0)}  and two distinct ideal vertices I  and J are adjacent if and ...

A note on Gersten’s conjecture for étale cohomology over two-dimensional henselian regular local rings

open access: yesComptes Rendus. Mathématique, 2020
We prove Gersten’s conjecture for étale cohomology over two dimensional henselian regular local rings without assuming equi-characteristic. As an application, we obtain the local-global principle for Galois cohomology over mixed characteristic two ...

Unitary groups over local rings

open access: yes, 2013
Structural properties of unitary groups over local, not necessarily commutative, rings are developed, with applications to the computation of the orders of these groups (when finite) and to the degrees of the irreducible constituents of the Weil ...

Hereditary Local Rings [PDF]

open access: yesNagoya Mathematical Journal, 1966
Many questions about free ideal rings ( = firs, cf. [5] and §2 below) which at present seem difficult become much easier when one restricts attention to local rings. One is then dealing with hereditary local rings, and any such ring is in fact a fir (§2). Our object thus is to describe hereditary local rings. The results on firs in [5] show that such a

On the properties of weak CM rings

open access: yes上海师范大学学报. 自然科学版, 2022
In this paper, we mainly study the properties of weak CM rings. It is a special class of Noetherian commutative rings, including Cohen-Macaulay rings, excellent rings and generalized Cohen-Macaulay rings, which can be characterized by local cohomology ...
