Effects of Local Interactions and Local Migration on Stability
Theoretical Population Biology, 2002Mathematical models can help to resolve the longstanding question of whether more diverse communities are more stable. Here, I focus on how local dispersal and local interactions--hallmarks of spatial communities--affect stability in a spatially implicit model with demographic stochasticity.

Local slope stability analysis
2005Mass movements under the influence of gravity occur as result of diverse disturbing and destabilizing processes, for example of climatic or anthropological origin. The stability of slopes is mainly determined by the geometry of the land-surface and designated slip-horizon.

The system with local stabilities.
1960Having examined what is meant by a system that has ‘partial, fluctuating, and temporary independencies within the whole’ we can now consider some of the properties that a system of such a type will show in its behaviour.

The existence proof of continuous spectra of eigenvaluess developed in the framework of the function space ofq-regularizations (Perdang, 1976) is extended in this paper by relaxing the severe restrictions previously imposed o the mathematical structure of the stellar stability equations.

Stability and Stabilization of Locally Recurrent Networks
2008Stability plays an important role in both control theory and system identification. Furthermore, the stability issue is of crucial importance in relation to training algorithms adjusting the parameters of neural networks. If the predictor is unstable for certain choices of neural model parameters, serious numerical problems can occur during training ...
