In the present study, free convection heat and mass transfer of fluid in a square packed bed enclosure is numerically investigated. For the considered geometrical shape, the left vertical wall of enclosure was assumed to be kept at high temperature and ...

Ferromagnetic Convection in a Heterogeneous Darcy Porous Medium Using a Local Thermal Non-equilibrium (LTNE) Model [PDF]
The combined effects of vertical heterogeneity of permeability and local thermal non-equilibrium (LTNE) on the onset of ferromagnetic convection in a ferrofluid saturated Darcy porous medium in the presence of a uniform vertical magnetic field are investigated. A two-field model for temperature representing the solid and fluid phases separately is used.

Impact of local thermal non-equilibrium on temporal thermo-hydro-mechanical processes in low permeable porous media [PDF]
The thermo-hydraulic-mechanical (THM) response of low permeable media is of crucial significance in thermal fracturing for production of unconventional shale oil, enhanced geothermal systems, and waste disposal.

In the present study, natural convection of fluid in a square packed bed enclosure is investigated numerically using a uniform magnetic field. The geometry model is heated from left-hand side vertical wall and cooled from opposite wall with adiabatic condition at both the top and bottom walls.

The present work involves the thermal numerical simulation of fluid flow inside an annular pipe completely filled porous material. The mathematical model of the energy transport is based on the Local Thermal Non-Equilibrium (LTNE) between the fluid and ...
