A Classification of Compact Cohomogeneity One Locally Conformal Kähler Manifolds

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we apply a result of the classification of a compact cohomogeneity one Riemannian manifold with a compact Lie group G to obtain a classification of compact cohomogeneity one locally conformal Kähler manifolds.

Taking limits in topological recursion

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 3, September 2025.
Abstract When does topological recursion applied to a family of spectral curves commute with taking limits? This problem is subtle, especially when the ramification structure of the spectral curve changes at the limit point. We provide sufficient (straightforward‐to‐use) conditions for checking when the commutation with limits holds, thereby closing a ...

Inequalities on the Bochner curvature tensor

open access: yesComplex Manifolds
On a compact locally conformal Kähler manifold (which is also Gauduchon) satisfying an Einstein-type condition, an inequality between the integrations of Chern forms and the Bochner curvature tensor is proved.

Global eigenfamilies on closed manifolds

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 112, Issue 2, August 2025.
Abstract We study globally defined (λ,μ)$(\lambda,\mu)$‐eigenfamilies on closed Riemannian manifolds. Among others, we provide (non‐)existence results for such eigenfamilies, examine topological consequences of the existence of eigenfamilies and classify (λ,μ)$(\lambda,\mu)$‐eigenfamilies on flat tori. It is further shown that for f=f1+if2$f=f_1+i f_2$

Relative cubulation of relative strict hyperbolization

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract We prove that many relatively hyperbolic groups obtained by relative strict hyperbolization admit a cocompact action on a CAT(0)$\operatorname{CAT}(0)$ cubical complex. Under suitable assumptions on the peripheral subgroups, these groups are residually finite and even virtually special.

On line bundles arising from the LCK structure over locally conformal Kähler solvmanifolds

open access: yesComplex Manifolds
We can construct a real line bundle arising from the locally conformal Kähler (LCK) structure over an LCK manifold. We study the properties of this line bundle over an LCK solvmanifold whose complex structure is left-invariant. Mainly, we prove that this

From the conformal anomaly to the Virasoro algebra

open access: yesProceedings of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 130, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract The conformal anomaly and the Virasoro algebra are fundamental aspects of two‐dimensional conformal field theory and conformally covariant models in planar random geometry. In this article, we explicitly derive the Virasoro algebra from an axiomatization of the conformal anomaly in terms of real determinant lines, one‐dimensional vector spaces

Curvature of quaternionic skew‐Hermitian manifolds and bundle constructions

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, Volume 298, Issue 1, Page 87-112, January 2025.
Abstract This paper is devoted to a description of the second‐order differential geometry of torsion‐free almost quaternionic skew‐Hermitian manifolds, that is, of quaternionic skew‐Hermitian manifolds (M,Q,ω)$(M, Q, \omega)$. We provide a curvature characterization of such integrable geometric structures, based on the holonomy theory of symplectic ...

On Riemannian 4‐manifolds and their twistor spaces: A moving frame approach

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, Volume 297, Issue 12, Page 4651-4670, December 2024.
Abstract In this paper, we study the twistor space Z$Z$ of an oriented Riemannian 4‐manifold M$M$ using the moving frame approach, focusing, in particular, on the Einstein, non‐self‐dual setting. We prove that any general first‐order linear condition on the almost complex structures of Z$Z$ forces the underlying manifold M$M$ to be self‐dual, also ...

Zero‐curvature subconformal structures and dispersionless integrability in dimension five

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 110, Issue 6, December 2024.
Abstract We extend the recent paradigm “Integrability via Geometry” from dimensions 3 and 4 to higher dimensions, relating dispersionless integrability of partial differential equations to curvature constraints of the background geometry. We observe that in higher dimensions on any solution manifold, the symbol defines a vector distribution equipped ...
