Products and Direct Sums in Locally Convex Cones

Canadian Mathematical Bulletin, 2012
AbstractIn this paper we define lower, upper, and symmetric completeness and discuss closure of the sets in products and direct sums. In particular, we introduce suitable bases for these topologies, which leads us to investigate completeness of the direct sum and its components. Some results obtained about X-topologies and polars of the neighborhoods.

Strict inductive limits in locally convex cones

Positivity, 2010
The author introduces strict inductive limits in the context of locally convex cones. The general theory of locally convex cones was developed by Keimel and Roth. The main concepts are recalled in the introduction of this paper. Several results in the spirit of the classical properties established by Dieudonné and Schwartz for strict inductive limits ...

Local minima of quadratic forms on convex cones

Journal of Global Optimization, 2007
Local and global minima of quadratic forms on the trace of a convex cone \(K\) are investigated. The authors prove an upper bound on the number of local minima. It is also shown that a local optimal solution situated in the relative interior of \(K\) is in fact a global optimal solution.

Cones in the Tensor Product of Locally Convex Lattices

American Journal of Mathematics, 1976
If E and F are locally convex lattices it is shown that the closure of the projective cone equals the biprojective cone for the projective topology on E 0 F and that this result cannot be extended to arbitrarily ordered locally convex spaces. The question of when these cones are b-cones is considered and applications are given to the tensor product of ...
