Location-based services–the market : success factors and emerging trends from an exploratory approach

open access: yes, 2021
By measuring the possibilities of enterprises linking location-based services (LBS) to regional and local content of interest, research found a tremendous lack of knowledge, how media enterprises–as well as content providers–in- and outside legacy media ...

Location-based memory fences [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the twenty-third annual ACM symposium on Parallelism in algorithms and architectures, 2011
Traditional memory fences are program-counter (PC) based. That is, a memory fence enforces a serialization point in the program instruction stream --- it ensures that all memory references before the fence in the program order have taken effect before the execution continues onto instructions after the fence.

Improvement of Noise Uncertainty and Signal-To-Noise Ratio Wall in Spectrum Sensing Based on Optimal Stochastic Resonance

open access: yesSensors, 2019
Noise uncertainty and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) wall are two very serious problems in spectrum sensing of cognitive radio (CR) networks, which restrict the applications of some conventional spectrum sensing methods especially under low SNR ...

Location-based Work Sampling

open access: yesLean Construction Journal, 2022
Question: Which opportunities can merging geographic location data with Work Sampling (WS) data bring for construction management? Purpose: To identify which opportunities adding geographic information to the random observations made (named in this study as geo-located observations) can bring. Research Method: The authors presented the implementation

Double Dummy Location Selection Algorithm Based on Behavior Correlation [PDF]

open access: yesJisuanji kexue, 2023
At present, most of the dummy location privacy protection methods do not fully consider that the attacker may have the background knowledge about the information, which user requested from the service last time,so it cannot effectively resist the ...

Location Based Encryption

open access: yes, 2019
We first propose a 2D Location Based Encryption (LBE) scheme, where the setting includes a geography center system and the 2D triangle area including the set of locations. A user joining in the system is provided with a pre-arranged key, which belongs to her/his location. If the user’s location is belonging to this area, he/she can decrypt the message.

Location-based sound segregation [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
We propose and test a novel location-based approach for speech segregation. Within a narrow frequency band modifications to the relative energy of the target source with respect to the interfering energy trigger systematic deviations for binaural cues.
