An Agent-Based System for Location Privacy Protection in Location-Based Services

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information
Location-based services (LBSs) are a crucial element of the Internet of Things (IoT) and have garnered significant attention from both researchers and users, driven by the rise of wireless devices and a growing user base.

Paramagnetic Rim Lesions Are Associated With Trans‐Synaptic Degeneration of the Visual Pathway in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Retrograde trans‐synaptic degeneration (rTSD) from posterior visual pathway lesions in multiple sclerosis (MS) is characterized by hemi‐macular ganglion cell‐inner plexiform layer (GCIPL) thinning and contralateral visual field loss.

Location Based Services.

open access: yesInternational Research Journal on Advanced Engineering Hub (IRJAEH)
Location-Based Services (LBS) leverage modern mobile and cloud technologies to deliver relevant information and services based on a user’s geographical position. These systems help users easily find nearby services such as public utilities, thereby improving convenience, safety, and decision-making in everyday life.

A Privacy-Preserving Continuous Location Monitoring System for Location-Based Services

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2015
To protect users’ private locations in location-based services, various location anonymization techniques have been proposed. The most commonly used technique is spatial cloaking, which organizes users’ exact locations into cloaked regions (CRs).

Reperfusion‐Dependent Outcomes After Endovascular Thrombectomy Stratified by NIHSS‐ASPECTS Clinical‐Core Mismatch

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This analysis evaluates the effect of successful reperfusion on functional outcomes after MT, stratified by admission National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) and Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score (ASPECTS) as surrogates for clinical‐core mismatch, using multicenter registry data.

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Learning from Location Histories for Context-aware Location Recommendations in LBS

open access: yes, 2013
Location recommendation is one of the most important components in many Location Based Services (LBS), especially in mobile guides. Currently, providing context-aware location (e.g., Point of Interest, POI) recommendations is still very challenging. This

Elevated Connectivity During Language Processing Is Associated With Cognitive Performance in SeLECTS

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Self‐Limited Epilepsy with Centrotemporal Spikes (SeLECTS) is associated with language impairments despite seizures originating in the motor cortex, suggesting aberrant cross‐network interactions. Here we tested whether functional connectivity in SeLECTS during language tasks predicts language performance.
