The success of closed reduction in acute locked posterior fracture-dislocations of the shoulder
Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, 2006We retrospectively reviewed the results of closed treatment in 7 patients with acute locked posterior fracture-dislocations of the shoulder. Shoulders were reduced with patients under general anesthesia and were splinted in neutral rotation for 6 weeks. Follow-up averaged 46 months (range, 24-88 months).

Locked Posterior Dislocation of the Shoulder: Treatment Using Rotational Osteotomy of the Humerus
Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, 1994This study reports the use of rotational osteotomy in 10 patients with locked posterior dislocation of the shoulder. The average interval between injury and diagnosis was 155 days (range, 21-400 days). Patients were aged 40-78 years old, with an average age of 53 years.

Acta chirurgiae orthopaedicae et traumatologiae Cechoslovaca, 2016The aim of this study was to present the results of surgical treatment in two male patients with chronic locked posterior dislocation of the shoulder, who underwent total shoulder arthroplasty due to destruction of more than 45% of the humeral head articular surface and glenoid impairment.
