Effect of surface waves on full depth lock exchange gravity currents hydrodynamics [PDF]

Hydrodynamics of full depth lock exchange gravity currents is investigated by means of a numerical model which takes into account both surface wave propagation and gravity currents. The adopted modeling approach couples a Boussinesq-type of model for surface waves and a gravity current model for stratified flows.

Measuring length of distal locking screws is sometimes challenging owing to the gauge hook tethering soft tissues or failing to engage with the distal cortex. ‘Hand–eye’ memory is also lost when exchanging the drill for the depth gauge. This method measures the screw length accurately prior to setting up for the lateral view.
