Orangutan positional behavior and the nature of arboreal locomotion in Hominoidea
American Journal of Physical Anthropology, 2006AbstractThe Asian apes, more than any other, are restricted to an arboreal habitat. They are consequently an important model in the interpretation of the morphological commonalities of the apes, which are locomotor features associated with arboreal living.

An objective measurement of locomotion behavior for hemiparkinsonian cynomolgus monkeys
Journal of Neuroscience Methods, 2009Both clinical rating scales and objective locomotion measurement are critical evaluation for primate models of Parkinson's disease. Video image analysis system which has been widely used for objective measurement of locomotion behavior for systemic models has rarely been applied to hemiparkinsonian primate model.

Locomotion behavior of air bubbles on solid surfaces
Advances in Colloid and Interface ScienceAir bubbles are a common occurrence in both natural and industrial settings and are a significant topic in the fields of physics, chemistry, engineering, and medicine. The physical phenomena of the contact between bubbles and submerged solid surfaces, as well as the locomotion behavior of bubbles, are worth exploring.

Behavior of cell membrane in relation to locomotion in Amoeba proteus
Experimental Cell Research, 1964Abstract The behavior of the mucous coat of A. proteus was studied by fluorescentlabeling technique. It has been shown that the mucous coat is fluid and flows forward over the newly-formed pseudopodia. Further this coat can be stripped off the amoeba or prevented from flowing forward.

Locomotion and search behavior in blind infants
Infant Behavior and Development, 1992The relationship between locomotion and object search was longitudinally studied in blind infants by examining the timing between the emergence of crawling and walking and the infants' performance on reaching tasks indicative of advancement in object permanence.

Behavioral Dynamics of Visually Guided Locomotion
2007In their seminal research on coordination dynamics, Scott Kelso and his colleagues have developed an account of biological coordination in which the organization of action is viewed as a species of self-organizing pattern formation. Motor patterns are understood as a reflection of stability properties in a complex dynamical system, such as phase ...

It’s About Time: The Role of Locomotion in Withdrawal Behavior
Journal of Business and Psychology, 2015Locomotion is defined as a self-regulatory orientation that involves committing personal resources to initiate and maintain goal-directed activities Kruglanski et al. (J Personal Social Psychol 79: 793, 2000). This article examines the relation between locomotion and withdrawal behaviors in organizational setting.

Self‐Assembly and Collective Locomotion Behavior of Swarm Microrobot
SmallAbstract Collective behaviors in microrobots achieve self‐assembly and execute complex tasks through swarm microrobot interactions and collaboration, which possess significant potential in biomedical applications. However, challenges such as swarm stability and diversity, and adaptability to complex environments remain to be addressed.
